Personal Care - It's What We Faithfully Give Each Resident!
Designed for comfort
in a home-like atmosphere, assisted living at Schoolyard Square promotes
personal independence while at the same time providing services often
appreciated and needed by our residents.
While residents may
obtain any assistance with normal tasks of daily living they request or
require, they are encouraged to live as independently as they are able.
Assistance is available in such matters as medication monitoring,
bathing, grooming, and dressing. Three nutritious meals are prepared
daily with a snack available in the evening. Housekeeping, laundry and
linen services are also provided.
Other special
services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech
therapy may be obtained from the outpatient rehabilitation center
located in the building. Residents may request the services of the
several local physicians who serve the home or they may continue with
the services of their personal physician. In either case, residents will
be assisted in the scheduling of appointments. When families cannot
transport, the facility assists with taking residents to appointments.
Most residents are
ambulatory but there are many accommodations throughout the building for
people who require the assistance of a wheelchair or walker.
Individuals are
accommodated in furnished private or semiprivate rooms or apartments.
The home has comfortably furnished living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens,
and activities areas. An exercise room and library are available.
A modern smoke and heat detection system and an automated sprinkler system
meeting local and state life/safety codes protect the building. Rooms
are equipped with a call-bell system so residents may summons assistance
when needed.
The building is situated on a 5-acre campus with outdoor sitting areas
and lots of room to walk and exercise. There is ample parking on the
campus for residents and their guests.
